  • What's Our Residents Say

Let real testimonials do the speaking!

"The rehab staff is world class, and the nursing, recreation, and social work staff is so pleasant, encouraging and supportive."

-Edna S.
My husband needed some rehabilitation after he developed complications after receiving a kidney transplant. I was particularly impressed with the therapy staff, as well as the aides and nurses and recreation and dietary staff members who were consistently responsive to Pete’s needs. Thank you for a wonderful experience.

-Margaret G.

One thing that was demonstrated time and again while my mother was at Lakeland is that “Nice Matters!”

-John B.

The warm, caring attitude of the staff and residents at Lakeland is what makes the health care center so special. It is a true family atmosphere. I made so many dear friends in the two months that I was there for rehab, that I love to go back to visit. Even though I'm now in good health, I am still welcomed as part of the “family.“
-Ruth K.

  • Frequently Asked Questions

  • May family members and friends visit?

Families and friends are always encouraged to be a part of the team. Whether you’re just trying to put a smile on your loved one’s face or be there as company during a meal, some of the best healing comes from the care and presence of family. Suggested visiting hours are daily, from 8am to 8pm. Should a friend or relative wish to visit at another time, s/he should speak with the Social Worker or Nursing Supervisor.

  • Can I choose my own doctor?

Many of the region’s leading physicians are credentialed to treat patients at Lakeland Health Care Center. If you wish to be followed by a doctor who is not currently on the list, please speak with the Admissions Director, and we will be happy to explore the possibility of arranging for credentialing.

  • Can someone transfer to Lakeland from another nursing home?

Absolutely. Our Admissions and clinical staff will work with staff at the other home to facilitate a safe discharge.
